PURPOSE
Digital Realism Studios is committed to conducting business with integrity, transparency, and accountability. This policy aims to prevent, detect, and address corruption in all its forms, in alignment with the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 16, which promotes peace, justice, and strong institutions.
Scope
This policy applies to all employees, students, partners, vendors, suppliers, contractors, consultants, and any other individuals or entities acting on behalf of or working with Digital Realism Studios.
Definitions
Corruption: The abuse of entrusted power for private gain, including bribery, fraud, embezzlement, and other forms of unethical behavior.
Bribery: Offering, giving, receiving, or soliciting anything of value to influence the actions of an official or other person in a position of authority.
Policy Statements
A | Zero Tolerance
Digital Realism Studios has a zero-tolerance approach to corruption. Any form of corruption is strictly prohibited and will result in disciplinary action, including termination of employment or contracts, and potential legal action.
B | Compliance with Laws
All employees, students, partners, vendors, suppliers, and associated parties must comply with all applicable anti-corruption laws and regulations, including the UNCAC and relevant national legislation.
C | Gifts and Hospitality
Employees, students, partners, vendors, and suppliers must not offer or accept gifts, hospitality, or other benefits that could be perceived as influencing business decisions. Any gifts or hospitality offered or received must be reported and recorded in accordance with company procedures.
D | Conflicts of Interest
All parties must avoid situations where personal interests conflict, or appear to conflict, with the interests of Digital Realism Studios. Any potential conflicts of interest must be disclosed to management immediately.
E | Due Diligence
Digital Realism Studios will conduct due diligence on partners, suppliers, and contractors to ensure they adhere to anti-corruption principles. Contracts will include clauses that require compliance with this policy.
F | Reporting and Whistleblowing
Employees, students, partners, vendors, suppliers, and third parties are encouraged to report any suspected corruption or unethical behavior. Reports can be made confidentially and without fear of retaliation through the company’s whistleblowing channels.
G | Training and Awareness
Digital Realism Studios will provide regular training and resources to all relevant parties to ensure they understand and comply with this policy and relevant anti-corruption laws.
Monitoring and Review
This policy will be regularly reviewed and updated to ensure its effectiveness and alignment with legal requirements and best practices. The company will monitor compliance and take corrective actions as necessary.
