PURPOSE
The purpose of this Policy is to protect our earth and environment and promote environmental stewardship among Digital Realism Studios, staff, students, and visitors. Digital Realism Studios is committed to continuous environmental improvement and protection through investing in technology, training and inspection.
Digital Realism Studios has primary responsibility for promulgating environmental health, safety, and risk management policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Jordanian, local, and international guidelines, as well as best management practices related to environmental compliance and protection. Program safety manuals and detailed safety procedures are set per project, site, location, office, and for all production crews.
Digital Realism Studios is committed to the protection and enhancement of the environment, continually seeking new ways to minimize the environmental impact of our past, present, and future activities. As a result of this continuous effort, Digital Realism Studios always seeks to find new ways and technologies that have the minimum impact on the environment and provide safest place of work.
POLICY STATEMENTS
Digital Realism Studios shall:
1 | Ensure compliance with applicable Jordanian, local, and international environmental legislation, regulations, and best management practices.
2 | Prevent pollution by managing and reducing water and energy consumption, air emissions, discharges to water, and contamination of soil and/or groundwater.
3 | Facilitate staff, employee, student, and visitor awareness of environmental issues through education and training for further protection of the surrounding environment.
4 | Promote and facilitate the reduction, reuse, and recycling of waste.
5 | Consider the impact on the environment when designing new projects and procedures or changing existing practices.
RESPONSIBILITIES
It is imperative that Digital Realism Studios staff, employees, students, partners, visitors comply with Jordanian, local, and international environmental health, safety, and risk management legislation, and relevant environmental compliance and protection codes. In addition, it is essential that all mentioned to observe industry best practices and comply with Digital Realism Studios safety policies, programs, and procedures. Noncompliance may result in disciplinary action.
Digital Realism Studios has primary responsibility for administration of and compliance with this policy:
Duties include:
1 | Ensure the most current legal environmental requirements are identified and evaluated for compliance.
2 | Establish, coordinate, and adhere to the environmental management programs outlined by local authorities.
3 | Provide training focused on protecting the environment and ensuring environmental compliance.
4 | Inspect Digital Realism Studios and property for environmental compliance and protection, or in response to a notice of a possible violation.
5 | In carrying out this duty, the Digital Realism Studios representative shall have the authority to enter any studio, structure, room, office, or site without prior notice.
Digital Realism staff, employees, partners, visitors, and students must comply with the following guidelines and responsibilities:
1 | Comply with all permit requirements, regulations, programs, and procedures specified and described by Digital Realism Studios.
2 | Attend environmental training courses and use required protective equipment provided by Digital Realism Studios.
3 | Handle all waste in accordance with the Digital Realism Studios waste guidelines.
4 | Report environmental non-compliance issues or concerns through administrative channels or to the representative of Digital Realism Studios.
Alignment with UN Policies and SDGs
This policy aligns with several UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including:
SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation): By managing and reducing discharges to water and preventing contamination of soil and groundwater.
SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy): By managing and reducing energy consumption.
SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production): By promoting the reduction, reuse, and recycling of waste.
SDG 13 (Climate Action): By preventing pollution and managing air emissions.
SDG 15 (Life on Land): By protecting and enhancing the environment and considering environmental impacts in new projects and procedures.
Changes To The Policy
Digital Realism Studios may, but is not required to, update this policy from time to time. You are bound by any such updates or changes and should therefore check to see whether this Policy has been modified (see “Last modified” date above) each time you use this Site or the School or any Digital Realism’s channels.
